Acupuncture
Acupuncture stimulates specific anatomic points just below the skin surface leading to the following effects: reduced electrical resistance along nerve fibers which improves signal conduction, reduced tissue inflammation by improved circulation via dilation of blood vessels and lymphatics, reduced pain through endorphin and neurotransmitter release and modulation of pain signals to the brain, as well as, improved tissue healing via release of growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells.
Therapeutic Laser
Laser works by delivering photons (packets of light energy) into tissue, which stimulates the release of growth factors, increases oxygen delivering to tissues, increases ATP (cellular energy) production, dilates blood vessels and relaxes muscles; all of which promotes the repair of damaged tissue.
A laser-acupuncture probe that focuses the photons into a needle-sized beam can be used for needle-free acupuncture, for pets with a needle aversion/phobia.
Aquapuncture
