Heidi Hemmett, DVM, CVA, CVSMT, CVMRT Practice Owner
Dr. Heidi Hemmett, CVA, CVSMT, CVMRT, grew up in Vermont, completed her undergraduate degree in Massachusetts, and graduated from the UW-Madison SVM in 2009. She then moved back to Massachusetts where she completed a Small Animal Veterinary Internship and practiced as a primary care veterinarian for seven years. Dr. Heidi completed the 130-hour Chi Institute Certification of Veterinary Acupuncture in 2015 and started Healthy Balance Veterinary Acupuncture LLC in 2016 after moving to Belleville, IL. She then completed a 226-hour Post-Graduate Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy certification in 2017 and a 142-hour Post-Graduate Veterinary Massage and Rehab Therapy certification in 2018 at the Healing Oasis Wellness Center in Sturtevant, WI.
Dr. Heidi has been providing house-call acupuncture services to the greater Madison area since moving back to Wisconsin in 2019.
She also provides office acupuncture sessions at Fitchburg Veterinary Hospital and Back 2 Basics Veterinary Clinic-where she is a part-time associate veterinarian.
